A wonderful event is going to take place at the
Irish American Heritage Center on Thursday, February,
16th. The Ramblers have been asked to play for a
memorial dance for long-time and loyal Cajun dancer,
Mike Regan. If you don't know, Mike was in a car
crash several months ago and was on
life-support. His family decided to remove
life support a couple of months back and Mike passed
away.
Details have yet to be finalized but
the room is reserved and the dance should start at about
6:30 and go until about 8 PM. Mike's children will
be there to say a few words before and after the
dance. Admission is free, finger food will
be served and there will be a cash bar.
I think we all remember Mike's
joyful spirit at our monthly dances at the Irish
Center. Please plan to come and celebrate
his life in the way he would have loved best, dancing to
Cajun music.
